Woman calls dad creepy pervert after he comments on her clothes
When her father made a rude comment about her running clothes, a 19-year-old woman fired back with an accusation no father wants to hear.
Now she’s asking Reddit’s AITA (Am I the A-hole) subreddit if her comeback has taken things a bit too far.
She called her dad a ‘pervert’ after he claimed his running clothes were ‘revealing’.
The young woman tells readers that she recently started running as a hobby. She explains that she lives in Southern California, where it’s hot.
She had recently been getting ready for a jog and had put on a sports bra and Nike shorts. Her father was not happy with her attire.
According to the poster, her dad “made some rude comments about it like how it’s so revealing and you can see my cleavage and my inner thighs in it.”
He then demanded that she change her clothes, which upset her daughter because of his harsh judgment.
That’s when she called him a “creepy pervert” for commenting on her body. She explained that she wore standard racing clothes, so she found her criticisms exaggerated.
She went on to say, “And [by the way] men run bare-chested all the time! Her father was visibly upset, stopped talking to her, and refused to even look in her direction.
She confronted her father to see what the problem was and he told her she was “extremely offensive and unfair to him”.
She took to Redditers to ask if she was wrong to call her dad a perv and whether or not she should apologize.
The poster also clarified that the comments about her cleavage and inner thigh came after he called her outfit ‘too revealing’ and ‘inappropriate’.
She asked him how her outfit was inappropriate or revealing and he said she showed too much cleavage and her inner thighs were exposed.
Readers have taken firm positions on the situation. One person posted: “Dad OP also has fragile masculinity. It’s so fragile that he can’t be challenged for fear his masculinity will be shattered.
Another commenter argued that it was a ‘leap’ to call the man ‘fragile’ just because of his comment alone.
The commenter continued: “Seriously [she] could have called her and [said] that there’s nothing wrong with what she’s wearing, but instead she screamed that he was a creepy pervert. Do you know how serious that accusation is to throw at?
