Woman arrested after 8-year-old girl was found carrying bag of stolen items: Beachwood police blotter

BEACHWOOD, Ohio

At 4:45 p.m. on December 30, police arrested a South Euclid woman, 42, for stealing 16 items totaling $ 1,325.98 from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Road. In addition to theft, the woman was charged with endangering children and possession of criminal tools.

With the woman were four children – two 11 years old, one 8 years old and one 2 years old. The 8-year-old was carrying a bag containing some of the stolen items.

In the woman’s possession, police found a claw hammer that was allegedly used to remove safety devices from the goods.

At 12:35 p.m. on December 29, police arrested a Cleveland man, 53, for stealing goods valued at $ 139 from Dillard’s house. The man was also charged with possession of drug-related accessories and wanted under a warrant.

At 4:30 p.m. on December 30, an officer checked the registration of a car parked on the Beachwood Place lot. The owner of the car was found to be wanted on a Cleveland Police arrest warrant for robbery.

A traffic stop was carried out on Richmond Road and the owner / driver of the car, a 23-year-old Cleveland woman, was arrested on warrant.

Criminal mischief: Cedar Road

At 9:35 a.m. on January 3, a woman from Cleveland, 33, reported that someone had punctured all four tires of the car she was driving while the car was parked in the parking lot of The Vantage Apartments, 27040 Cedar Road.

The car is owned by a man from Cleveland, 27. There are no suspects at the moment.
