Nevada County Police blotter: dead goose on road, bag of drugs left by vehicle

Grass Valley Police Department

4:56 p.m. – A caller from South Auburn Street reported that a tarantula had broken loose and the caller contained it in a trash bag. The caller said it was very dangerous and there was no anti-venom for this kind of creature.



8:04 p.m. – A caller from Jenkins Street reported a woman inside the house sleeping on the couch. She doesn’t live there and no one knows her. The caller was afraid to enter while the woman was there.

8.58pm – A caller from Sutton Way reported a bag of drugs had been left by the tire of his vehicle. The caller had moved it to a utility lid and asked to be picked up. The caller feared that a minor would find him.

10.49am – A caller from Broad Street reported a ‘local wild woman’ was outside the business screaming.

6:11 p.m. – A caller from North Pine Street reported a female subject walking down the street taking out mail from mailboxes along the way.

12:11 p.m. – A caller from McCourtney Road reported a man outside the fairgrounds walking without a shirt and his trousers around his knees, exposing himself.

2:43 p.m. – A caller from Penn Valley Drive reported a suspicious man seen running shirtless with a couch cushion.

3:02 p.m. – A caller from Alta Sierra Drive reported a dump truck dumping trash out the back.

3:53 p.m. – A caller from Ragan Way reported that PG&E had left an 80-foot-long utility pole on his property. According to the caller, PG&E said a report would be submitted within five days, but the caller said it was too long and he wanted it moved.

10:27 p.m. – A caller from Scotts Flat Road reported about 15 to 20 people shouting and shouting loudly. The caller didn’t think they were fighting but then said she didn’t know. The caller indicated that whatever it was seemed out of control.

11:39 p.m. – A caller from Black Oak Drive reported a bear and two cubs outside his residence. He came out and the bear charged him. He scared the bear away and he ran down the hill.

12:27 p.m. – A caller from East Main Street reported that a woman who had been in the parking lot for a few days was now throwing trash into the locked dumpster. The caller requested that the topic be moved forward.

7:02 p.m. – A caller from Freeman Lane reports that a subject of a shoplifting incident earlier today left props in the locker room.

9:37 p.m. – A caller on Taylorville Road reported a woman had dinner and gave up.

11:26 a.m. – A caller from Broad Street requested contact with a subject who was selling art outside a vacant building. The caller did not believe the subject had a permit to do so.

12:42 p.m. – A caller from Coyote Street reported vehicles parked in no parking and loading zones, preventing people from entering the parking lot.

6:36 p.m. – A caller from Sacramento Street reported that his pug “Kevin” was out.

8:38 p.m. – A York Street caller reports an unoccupied vehicle parked on the street, blocking the exit from the parking lot.

3.14pm – A caller from Tammy Way reported subjects on the course chasing geese and abusing them. The caller said they had pictures of eight or nine subjects involved. The caller placed a dead goose in the way so the subjects could see what they were doing.

5:27 p.m. – A caller from Rough & Ready Highway reported hearing gunshots within the last 30 minutes.

6:15 p.m. – A caller from Rough & Ready Highway reported that a skunk had attacked his dog.

10:23 p.m. – A caller from Spenceville Road loud music that had been going on since 2:00 p.m.

2:00 a.m. – A caller from Plaza Drive reported that a subject stole a 12-pack of beers. The caller wanted to file a complaint.

7:31 a.m. – A caller from Sutton Way reported three to four vehicles camping behind the business. Lots of trash was left. Contact was made with a subject who advised that the land would be vacant at noon.

8:34 a.m. – A caller from South Church Street reported that a male subject appeared to be under the influence and was stealing candles. Subject was carrying a backpack and a dead bird.

10:04 a.m. – A caller from Commercial Street reported two men drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes on the promenade. The caller said the subjects were rude to bystanders.

5:27 p.m. – A caller from Nile Street reported that an air conditioner had broken and was releasing freon into the air.

1:46 a.m. – A Ball Road caller reported a car driving through the neighborhood and repeatedly peeling off.

10:25 a.m. – A caller from Highway 49 reported that a subject cut him off and began to run him over. The caller stopped and a rock was thrown at the caller’s windshield.

8:51 p.m. – A caller from Highway 80 in Kingvale reported the driver of a vehicle with a paintball gun pointed through the window and shooting at passing motorists.

9:07 p.m. – A caller from Overland Trail reported that a vehicle with a paintball gun was used and fired at the caller’s vehicle causing damage.
