Mandya: In a shocking incident reported in Karnataka, a principal forced a student to undress for bringing a cell phone to class. The incident took place in Mandya district.

The accused director has been identified as Snehleta. When the grade 8 student refused to undress, the principal allegedly threatened to send boys to undress.

Meanwhile, police said a criminal case would likely be registered against the teacher, as the case is subject to provisions of the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO), according to a report. of the Times of India.

The case came to light after the victim informed her parents of the horrific incident. The girl’s family then approached the village chief and the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC).

The alleged incident took place at the government high school in Ganangur under the Srirangapatana taluk. A complaint was also transmitted to the deputy director of public education (DDPI) on this subject.

“I recommended to the commissioner of the education department to suspend the principal because at first glance the allegations were proven against her. Shortly after receiving a complaint from the girl’s family, I asked Block Education Officer (BEO) and Tahsildar to investigate the incident and submit a report, ”the report said citing DDPI Raghunandan.

Raghunandan said he recommended the director’s suspension based on a report from BEO and Tahsildar.

The report further states that parents, villagers and tahsildar testified before the BEO regarding the incident.

The principal took the girl to an empty room in the school and ordered her to undress, according to testimonies given to officials.

A local resident asked that when female students are not safe with female teachers, who should they believe. The resident called for strict measures against the director.
