JSPCA launches winter bag drive

Johannesburg SPCA has launched a winter bag drive to help less privileged furry friends.

You can help keep furry friends from going hungry by donating to the JSPCA.

All in one bag

Superb Rosco. Photo: provided.

You can decide how many bags you want to sponsor and the JSPCA will make and distribute them. The bags will contain a blanket, dog/cat food, a food bowl and a can of soup for the owner. The objective is to constitute 150 bags before the end of May, the sensitization being planned in June.

Need a house

The JSPCA also has animals for adoption.

• Puku is cute. She’s a half-breed female about a year old. Puku has a sweet and gentle nature and loves to go for walks and explore. She is good with most other dogs and will suit any family.

• Gus is a handsome three-year-old husky/malamute cross. He is a very friendly and well socialized dog and will need plenty of space and exercise. Knowledge of the breed is important.
