Attack on Tesco Aylesbury: A man tried to steal her bag from a woman in Broadfields

A woman was pushed into the boot of her car in Tesco by a man who tried to snatch her mobile phone and handbag in Aylesbury.

The woman, in her 50s, was left with a split upper lip and a bruised left eye after the shocking attack in the Tesco car park in Broadfields on Wednesday April 13.

Sometime between 8:15 and 9:25 p.m., the woman was approached while parked to the right of the store in the staff bays.

The man pushed her into the trunk of the red Honda Civic, took her phone and tried to steal her bag over her shoulder – but he dropped the phone and drove off.

The attacker is described as a white male, in his thirties, about 5ft 8in tall and skinny.

He looked wispy, messy brown, and wore dark-colored clothing, including a hooded top with the hood up, khaki-colored pants, and brown or gray boots.

PC Abby Nascimento, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said: ‘I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

“I would also ask anyone with onboard cameras who may have captured what happened or something that could help our investigation to get in touch as well.
