The bazaar, organized by the Association of Women Legislators Foundation, Inc. (AWLFI) for charitable purposes, began accepting shoppers around 10:30 a.m.

During the first day of the two-day event, at least 16 t-shirts, polo shirts and dress shirts were donated by Marcos. T-shirts cost 200 pesos each, while polo shirts cost 2,000 pesos each.

Marcos apparently wore a size medium. Some of the polo shirts appeared to have been used by Marcos during the 2022 election campaign season.

At 11 a.m., there were only a few shirts available on the President’s clothes rack.

First lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and senior vice president and former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo also donated pre-loved items — mostly Filipinianas and shoes — to the garage sale.

Proceeds from the event will be used by AWLFI to support their many causes. The previous staging of the garage sale reportedly generated over 1 million pesos in revenue.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the event was led by Majority Leader and Zamboanga City 2nd District Representative Mannix Dalipe. Arroyo was also present during the opening rites.
