A bear was caught munching on McDonald’s leftovers outside a restaurant in New Hampshire, video shows.

the bear called a “Brazen Bruin” – smelled a McDonald’s bag inside a parked car at Yesterday’s restaurant in Jackson, the police department said in a June 6 Facebook post.

The animal smashed the car window to retrieve the bag, police said.

An 11-second video shows the bear munching on the fast food on the hood of the person’s car.

Police reminded people not to keep food in their cars.

“Reminder, ‘Hungry Bear, Don’t Care’… keep your windows open, your doors locked and your car free of snacks,” police said in the post.

Bear break-ins happen this time of year, Jackson Police Department Chief Chris Perley told McClatchy News.

Perley said bears are smart and can open unlocked car doors.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is working to relocate the bear, he said.

“Once a bear has found a food source, it will keep coming back to that location for years to come in search of more,” city officials said.

Feeding bears also puts them, pets and humans at risk, because “a fed bear is a dead bear.”

Perley also said a woman reported finding a bear in her dining room around 6:30 a.m. the same day that bear broke into the car.
